NatGeo

I still remember as a child, we had a hallway in the house that connected the front of the house to the den in the back. I called it “the long hall”. Dad built bookshelves that lined the entire hallway, floor to ceiling, both sides. It was a tunnel of books. I spent hours in that hallway. Mom and dad had a collection of National Geographic magazines on those shelves. I remember dates back to the Forties on the covers. I saw my first pair of female breasts in a National Geographic. I’m pretty sure they were African and rather low slung.

National Geographic still thrives even today. The internet and the digital world have only taken it to higher levels. God bless the editors and writers for embracing Apps and Widgets. In this modern, self-absorbed, screened in population of over social mediaed idiots; I’m forever thankful for NetGeo.

Got something to say? Lemeno.
