It’s truly sad but should come as no surprise since all of professional sports is a big turd circling the drain of drug abuse. Money and egos. Disgusting.

He played the game, as it was played by all at that level, better than anyone before and since. The unwritten rules by which it was played was to cheat and don’t get caught. So, given the nature of the sport itself, the achievement is still quite an achievement. However, one must also ask if Lance was corrupted by an already corrupt sport, or did he, by getting away with it for so long and so well, corrupt the sport further? We also have to consider the good the man has done with his earnings from the crooked game, and the hope he has given to people struggling with debilitating illness. But it is a first moral principle that one should never do evil to bring about a good. So his ends do not justify his means.
Well said. I pulled for him to the bitter end but the evidence is overwhelming. There was a good interview with George Hincapie a few days ago. There is a man of honor. He admitted to falling under the same pressures that they all did. As I said, with the levels of money involved in professional sports. The only way to win…. Is to cheat.
