Diwali: The Hindu Festival of Lights, is usually around the first of November. That corresponds with temperatures in the Southwest desert breaking from intolerable to perfect. I like perfect.
Diwali or Deepavali if you have a dot on your forehead, is a celebration not only of light over darkness but good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. All good things. The interesting part is Diwali doesn’t fall on a certain date but revolves around sun and moon cycles close to the fall equinox. Seems like Hinduism might be Pagan after all. I knew it.
Whatever you choose to believe, the fact remains that the sun moves south for the winter and so do I.

Got something to say? Lemeno.
