I read today a couple of hikers died in Zion NP last weekend. I was just through there after a week of riding on Gooseberry Mesa. From what I witnessed in Springdale, UT, jumping off town for Zion; I’m not surprised. I hadn’t been in the area for years and I’d heard the place had become overrun with Numpties, Goombas and Overlanding vanlifers. It was true. The number of pasty white corpulent tourons was truly astounding. Twitching heads, swinging chicks; all of them in a hurry to go nowhere and relax. It didn’t help that the NP campground was closed for a major upheaval. Poor planning on everyone’s part. Camping ain’t what it used to be. However, I did get an outstanding lattè on my out of town. Time to work the edges.

Got something to say? Lemeno.
