All these fancy acronyms are getting out of hand. SCOTUS made a lot of news last week. The Supreme Court of the United States has been around for a long time but the new acronym is hysterical. Of course all the OTUS acronyms started with the Secret Service’s code name years ago for POTUS. President of the United States. Then there’s FLOTUS, his wife. Our friend and neighbor, VPOTUS. How about SOTH, speaker of the house or SOS Secretary of State. Maybe they all need to skip the fancy acronyms and FOCUS!
