The Fabric of our Lies

I hate politics. It’s way too political for me. I’m right, you’re an asshole seems to be the parlance of our times. Truth is, they’re all assholes as far as I’m concerned. They all have the same agenda…themselves. Of the people, by the people and for the people got lost in translation years ago. Ignorance is a virtue. Lying isn’t just part of the game, it’s a required admission fee. The fabric of a Politicians worth these days seems to be how good of a liar they are. But I’ve always felt that if you had a complaint, at least offer a solution. So I think we ought to return to a Monarchy, of sorts. One ring to rule them all. Not a modern British, window dressing Monarchy but one person who gets elected by popular vote. Hire them for life. Pay them well, they’d be worth more than any lame-ass Wall Street CEO. If things get better under their rule, give them a raise. If things get worse, dock them.  If things get really worse, well, public hangings used to be the rule of the day.

Got something to say? Lemeno.
