There’s a quote by Edward Abbey that I’m reminded of this time of year.
“The thing I like about Christmas in the Desert is the conspicuous absence of Christmas in the Desert”
Not to Scrooge or anything but the desert this time of year is perfect. A time to separate from the tinsel and reflect on a quieter time. Remove oneself from the hubbub and turn inward. The lower angle of light softens the otherwise harsh landscape. Life slows down without stoplights. So here’s to the Restofus.

Got something to say? Lemeno.
