Its snowing here today and I’m thinking about the desert, if only for a day or two. Don’t get me wrong, I love watching it snow but I’d much rather have dust in my toes these days than mud on my shoes.

Indian summer will probably make a short reappearance. But by Thanksgiving, the Indians will be long gone and the desert close at hand. If you’re going to be a rat, it might as well be a desert rat.
